Local generation and device limits

Extreme Word Search generates and solves puzzles locally on your iPhone or iPad. Built-in themes can be edited, extended, or replaced with custom word lists.

Large grids have been tested through 36×36 on an iPhone 15 Pro.

Very large word searches can place substantial demands on processor time, memory, and thermal limits. Practical maximum sizes may vary by device and current operating conditions. iOS or iPadOS may terminate an extremely demanding generation if system resource limits are exceeded.

Verified solutions

Generated puzzles include solutions produced by the app's verified constraint-solving core. Reproducible seeds allow the same generation configuration to be recreated later.

Privacy

The app requires no account, sign-in, advertising, tracking, or network connection for its primary functionality.
